The Punta Martiño Lighthouse (Spanish: Faro de Punta Martiño) is an active lighthouse on the Canary island of Lobos, near Fuerteventura in the municipality of La Oliva.. The lighthouse is situated on a hill at the north-eastern end of the island, and along with the other lights at Pechiguera and Tostón, marks the La Bocayna strait that separates Lanzarote from Fuerteventura.

HISTORIAS Y FOTOS DE FAROS Faro de Punta Martiño en Fuerteventura (Islas Canarias)
Se iluminó por primera vez el 30 de julio de 1865 como faro de 6º orden, alimentado inicialmente con aceite de oliva y con un alcance de 9 millas náuticas. Posteriormente se utilizó como combustible parafina y petróleo y en 1923 acetileno, aumentando su alcance hasta 14 millas. En la actualidad se encuentra electrificado y automatizado.

FARO DE PUNTA MARTIÑO (Corralejo) All You Need to Know BEFORE You Go
Tuesday 24th November and we took a boat trip to the Island of Los Lobos, where this Lighthouse is one of the notable features. It is situated on the top of a hill on the north eastern end of the Island.There is a pathway leading to the Lighthouse, which is 3 and an a half kilometres and is roughly a 50 minute walk from El Mulle (landing pier).
